Part 4 and 5 (of 5) bound in 1 volume, 4to. Part 4: pp. [10], 1-288, [8]. Part 5: pp. [4], 289-621, [11].
Contemporary leather, with 30 copper engravings, of which 7 with 2 plates per page, 10 full page portraits of Grandmasters in the Order of the Maltese Knights, 10 full page plates and 3 full page maps (See list of illustrations at the bottom). As front free endpaper and pastedown a rubricated incunable leaf has been used.

The leather a bit worn and with an occasional wormhole, not going through. Rear endpapers missing (removed other incunable leaf?). Darkened throughout and, very mildly and unobtrusively, waterstained throughout. A scattered wormhole in the margins only of a few pages. Some page edges restored. Handwritten ex-libris in old hand at title page and note in old hand on last blank page.

Part 4 describes the journey from Egypt via Laodicea and Antioch to Syria and Aleppo, while part 5 describes the route back to Rome from Aleppo via Cyprus, Crete, Gozo and Malta. The plates, amongst others, depicts buildings and sites in Medina, Mecca, Khaniá and La Valetta, though most are of Rome.

Despite the overall condition of the book still a very scarce and interesting resource for the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Rome.
