Vol. I, II and III (of 4), respectively published in 1908 (vol. I), 1910 (vol. II) and 1922 (vol. III). All first editions.
[Vol. IV, which is not present here, was first published in 1922 as well.]
Vols. I + II: gilt ruled ¾ calf over cloth, 4to. Spines divided in six compartments by five raised and gilt ruled bands with the titles in the second and third compartments. Top edges gilt.
Leather quite rubbed and worn at extremities. Spines rubbed. Head and tail of the spines as well as the corners bumped.
Vol. I: pp. 13, (1), 508.
Lower part of back board loosening, but still well attached. Upper part of front board lightly sunned. A few pencil marks on free endpaper.
Vol. II: pp. iv, 543, 2 ƒƒ (addendum to vol. 1).
Free front endpaper creased top/bottom. Lower part of frontboard starting, but still well attached. Further a clean copy as well.
Vol.III is still in its original wrappers. Covers a bit darkened, head of spine slihgtly chipped and a few small notes in pencil at the top of the title page. Partly unopened with the contents clean; 4to., pp. iv, 179.
Rare. We only could find two auction records in the last thirty years, both for vols. I and II only.
